Rev. Robert B. Macfarlane
Intentional Interim Minister
The Consistory of Solomon's United Church of Christ is pleased to introduce our congregation to Pastor Bob and Diana Macfarlane.
Rev. Macfarlane graduated from Boston University in 1968, from Andover Newton Theological School in 1971, and was ordained to Christian ministry in 1971 at his home church in Waltham, Massachusetts. After 40 years of settled ministry, he has served 8 churches around the country as a trained Interim Minister, and 2 churches as a short term "Bridge" Pastor.
Diana graduated from New England College in New Hampshire. She has cherished her Elementary School teaching career, and now enjoys volunteering at the Chambersburg Hospital, and on several committees at St. John's UCC in Chambersburg, where the Macfarlanes hold membership. They were married in 1971 and have two sons: Duncan (wife Jodi and son Jasper) and Andrew (wife Lea and sons Owen and Pater). Bob and Diana make their retirement home in Chamberssburg, PA.
Pastor Bob will be with us 1/2 time (about 20 hours weekly). His first day with us was Monday, November 22, and he will be with us generally on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at other times for emergencies or special occasions. He loves to visit in homes, so don't be surprised to find him knocking on your door!
You may be in touch with Pastor Bob, either by text or phone (508-331-8831), or by his email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
